PowerChute Shutting down servers in a specific order
Hi,
I am wondering if there is a option to shut down servers in a specific order.
We have 6 servers. Two physical servers are connected and both servers run 2 virtual hyper-v servers.
I want to shut down the virtual servers first and then my 2 physical servers.
Is this possible and how?

Hi,
You should install PCNS on each host and then configure each host to shutdown when UPS has been on battery for x minutes or when runtime remaining is x.
Example host A starts shutdown when UPS has 30 minutes of runtime remaining. Host B starts shutdown when UPS has 25 minutes of runtime remaining.
The users guide explains this beginning onpage 20 (PDF page 23)
Note: you cannot configure the order the VMs will be powered down in.
