PowerChute is written to run the command file prior to the OS shutdown. I pulled the information below from the help file that explains how to adjust the delays and duration. The delay is the time PowerChute will wait before running the command or starting the shutdown. The duration is the amount of time that it will take to execute. Example if you set a delay of 2 minutes and a duration of 3 minute to run a command file PowerChute will wait 2 minutes after an event and then run the command file. IT will then wait 3 minutes before starting the OS shutdown.

When a shutdown commences, the following occurs:
- After its configured delay time, any specified command file is executed.
After their individually configured delay times, any selected applications are shut down.
- After its configured delay time, the OS begins to shut down.
- After the time for shutting down the OS expires, the UPS continues its countdown before turning itself off.

Clicking on the Configure Shutdown Sequence underlined text in the Shutdown Sequence dialog box starts a wizard. The wizard enables you to specify command files and set times for their execution and to specify any installed applications to shut down.
You can also set OS shutdown delay and duration times.
At the first dialog box, you can select from among those applications installed on your system.
In the next dialog box, you can select one command file to be run prior to a shutdown.
If you have selected the Siebel application, the following two dialog boxes ask for a logon user name and password and also the path to the Enterprise and Gateway servers.
The next dialog box in the wizard enables you to set the time delays and durations to be used during a shutdown.
How to Set the Delay and Duration Times
You can configure delay and duration times for individual command files, and application or OS shutdowns. Each horizontal line in the graph is labeled on the left, for example, Command File, Siebel, SQL, OS.

In my environment i can not set the delay value from the console for running the command file past 52 min even though i have 116 min

Hi,
The maximum allowable number is 60 minutes. The default OS duration is 3 minutes so the delay can be 57 minutes. The maximum allowable number for command files is 57 (56 for delay 1 minute duration) when the OS delay is set for 57 minutes and the OS duration is 3 minutes. If you push to the limits OS delay can be set for 60 minutes with a 20 second duration and command file delay can be set for 59 minutes with a 1 minute duration. However the OS delay will get set to zero and the duration will be set to 20 seconds.
If you want to keep the OS delay at 47 minutes then the command file delay and duration must not be greater that 47 minutes.
