Possible to avoid passwords in clear text with PCNS & scripts?
We have a Xen server we are trying to get working with our SURTD3000XLT. The document linked below says to create a script and store credentials in it, but this script file is in 'clear text' but this is not acceptable to my bosses.
It is recommended that you deny read permissions on the file xenshutdown.vbs for all users except for Administrators and LocalSystem since the XenServer administrator credentials are stored in this file.
Does anyone know of a way to avoid putting passwords in 'clear text' inside the scripts?
Is it possible for the script to call some other function to retrieve a password from an encrypted file?
