Hello,
we have 50 or more APCs with management cards. And I am looking for a fast solution to change the password via a tool or even faster as login to each management card and click through the option and change the password.
Long story short: Is there tool for that which using SSL and not telnet or ftp?
Thanks
peter

Hi Peter,
For AP9617/18/19, if you have forgotten the administrator username or password, you have to reset it using the local serial connection and some other specific steps. We do it this way for security reasons so people can't reset the system remotely without gaining physical access.
If you just want to change the administrator password (and username) but you do know the current password, then yes, you could do this by uploading a config.ini configuration file with a new password keyword/value. This can be uploaded via web interface (http/https) or Secure CoPy (SCP) in addition to FTP (that you noted you did not want). SCP is enabled when SSH is enabled.
We have an INI push utility that can automate this but it only supports FTP. You'd have to script via SCP if you wanted to automate this and you do know the current administrator password and just want to change it.
Our StruxureWare Data Center Expert tool can also do some of this if you do currently have access to the system and know the username/password.
