Hi,
We have a PX 160 with extended cabinets
The site where the UPS will be installed is -350 metres below sea level , and it's known for it's seismic activity
What consideration should be made regarding altitude ? ( - 350 M )
And what options does APC have for a seismic approved PX 160?
Best Regards
Hazem

The IBC has been adopted by all 50 states, making the "Zone" terminology obsolete.

The PX160 and extended cabinets are in 42U Netshelter SX frames (part number AR3100). As such, the part number for the SX bolt down kit for seismic anchoring is AR7701 (1 kit is required per cabinet). This kit is rated for Seismic Zone 4 (per UBC 1997). Zone 4 is the highest seismic rating in the UBC code.

Hi,
Altitude of the installation site relate with the ambient pressure and temperature.
Some UPS derating factor due to the UPS Fan system can't remove total all of heat load from the UPS (because it's design in normal operation). And the Battery is VRLA so it's need time to balance pressure (internal pressure).
If the site can maintance the ambient pressure (760mmHg), and temperature 20 - 25oC you site still can work.
