PLZ help with Surt1000xli charging system
I am from paksitan. We are facing severe electricity crisis. We only get 12 hr of electricity.I have an APC SURT1000Xli ups connected to my room.I connected four 12v external liquid battries each of 45 AMP Hr.Now the ups is providing 3.2 amp maximum to the battries for charging. I need to know is their any way i can increse this charging current to 7 AMP or atleast 5 AMP.
Secondly i connected a 48v charging transformer externally to the batteries. I works fine but the battery voltage incresed to 57 v dc and the red fault indicator started blinking on the front panel . is it safe to use the external chrger.
Plz try to give me any way to increse the charging current of my UPS.

There is no way to increase the charging ability of a UPS. The charger is built to provide a maximum amount of current at any time, depending on the situation and is designed to work reliably ONLY with APC branded batteries in almost all cases.
