PHP Version on Network Shutdown Module Software

The current Network Shutdown Module version is 3.05 build 14.
According to the release note, the PHP version for this is 5.2.8.

According to report from NetSpi, a Information Security Consulting, there are a # of open deficiencies associated with PHP version 5.2.8.

Anyone knows if the next release of Network Shutdown Module will upgrade the PHP version to 5.2.12 or later?
If yes, any release schedule?
If not, any reason?
