Hallo everyone,
I'm using PowerChute Personal 3.0 on a Win7 64 bit right now and found out, that the DataCollectionLauncher.exe writes some interesting values about my System (special the Input Voltage) to my drive in this PCPELog.txt.
Sadly when ever this file reaches 150/200 kb of size it is wiped out and a new one get created.
I'm fully aware that it is kind of risky to let a log file grow without any limits, but I have quite some space on my drive and I can delete it by hand if it ever gets to big. (At least I can write some program which monitors it 😉 )
Can anyone get me a hint how I can change the limit at what size this log gets wiped?
I tried to search the registry but this is quite task to do so.
If I can't find a solution I have to parse the file every x seconds (seams it gets updated every 4 seconds) and write the data to an other file. But this is really my last approach, cause it will stress my system even more.
In hope of some help
Qay
