PCPE 2.1.1, hibernation and shutdown

Hello,

When the UPS switch on the battery, the PC enter into an hibernation mode.
I would prefer that it always shutdown the computer, whatever the UPS battery load is.

How can I configure PCPE to make it always shutdown the PC?

Thanks.

I have used the requested command and used the first runtime mode (because it takes less time to test).
And effectively, the PC is now entering a true shutdown mode. Thanks for the solution to this problem.

Now, I can observe a slightly different behavior of the UPS compared to the one reported in this post : Referenced content removed

When Windows was entering an hibernation mode, the UPS was restarted itself as soon as PCPE was active.

Now that Windows enter a shutdown mode, the UPS remains on the battery (even if the main power is back) until I switch on the computer.
As soon as the computer is switched on, the UPS restart itself and all UPS outlets are switched off for a few second.
From there, the UPS is on the main power source again and I can switch-on the PC again.
This is a little bit better than with hibernation mode because Windows has not yet started when the PC is switched-off.

So, is there a way to avoid the UPS to restart after the main computer has been switched off by PCPE?

Thanks for your help.

OK, I have executed the requested command.
Which problem do you expect this command will solve?

Guys,

In my configuration, the UPS backup a NAS (FreeNas) and the main computer.
I have written a script to shutdown the NAS when the main computer shutdown.
Unfortunately, until now, all tests I have done show that PCPE does not shutdown Windows but put it into hibernation.
As a results, the script is not executed in case of power loss and the NAS is not shutdown properly.

Is there a way to configure PCPE to execute a true shutdown rather than to put Windows into hibernation?
Or, is there a way to ask PCPE to execute a script rather than putting the computer into hibernation?

Thanks.

You will need to disable hibernation on your Operating System. If you have this disabled the PC will then use the normal Shutdown when commanded by PCPE.

Hibernation is disabled, however, PCPE put the PC into hibernation.

What is the operating system of that PC and how did you disable hibernation?

My operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate - 64 bit (french version).
I disable hibernation : Control Pannel -> System and security -> Power supply options -> There I select "High performance" and the option behind "High performance" are:
- Computer hibernation : Never
- Screen extinction : 15 minutes.

I have a French version of Windows, so this is an inaccurate translation of the Windows control panel.
How do you disable hibernation?

Thanks.

If you use the powercfg /off command, it should disable the hibernate option. When the UPS commands the PC to turn off it'll use the shutdown and it should not put the PC on hibernate state.
