PCNS Virtual Appliance Over VPN
Hello,
I have a SMART 1500 UPS protecting a ESXI host in our New York City office, I'd like to configure PowerChute Network Shutdown to automatically (and gracefully) shutdown the VM running on the ESXI host and the host itself in the event of power loss and turning them back on when power is back.
I tried to deploy PCNS Virtual Appliance on the ESXI host however there is not enough resources (mainly RAM) to run it. I do have a site to site VPN to our London office which has a HyperV with enough resources to install PCNS.
My question is can I install PCNS on a Windows VM running on our London HyperV and have it manage the UPS in our NYC office over VPN and allow it to shutdown the ESXI VMs and host?
