I have a customer who has successfully shutdown some VMs and left others unaffected, but the ESXi hosts shutdown before UPS battery exhausted. They aim to leave selected VMs and the ESXi hosts to go off "dirty" when UPS batteries exhausted. How can this be achieved? How can PCNS be told not to shutdown ESXi hosts?
Thanks

I received the following advice
They could use the shutdown command file feature in PCNS to run a script which stops the PowerChute service before the Esxi hosts are shut down.
Windows - net stop pcns1
Linux - service PowerChute stop
