PCNS 4.2 on VMware setup
Hi all,
Im after a bit of guidance as I can't get my head around how this is going to work.
I have a ESXi host protected by the UPS, it is running a vCenter VM (not the appliance), im planning on deploying the PCNS appliance OVF file onto this ESXi host.
If i have a power outage and the PCNS shuts down all the VMs, followed by vCenter, how will it shut down the PCNS VM, or if it shuts down the PCNS before vCenter how will it shutdown vCenter followed by the hosts without PCNS running.
On the same lines, once power is restored, the VMs wont restart themselves as PCNS will have put ESXi into maintenance mode and presumably this will stop the PCNS VM restarting to disable maintenance mode.
Can anyone explain how this works, or what im missing?
