When I try to install PCBE 9.1 on my WIN 7 workstation, the install won't proceed past "Trying to detect the presence of a UPS". Have the 940-0024C cable. Any thoughts?

have you tried to specify the COM port rather than using auto-detect? are you using a USB to serial adapter?
i might try to braindead the UPS and reset it prior to doing this just to rule out any isolated issues with UPS communication. you can do this by turning the UPS off (making sure any load is turned off previously and unplugged), removing your serial cable, unplugging the UPS from AC power, and then holding down the (o) off button on the front. you should hear a click and the LEDs on the front may flash. then reconnect everything and try again.
