Hello,
I am using a new SMC1500 on a single desktop and have a couple of questions regarding PBE:
1) Do I have to install the Server and Console or is the Agent all I need?
2) I cannot configure SMTP to use port 587. Is there any way to do that?
3) How can I specify a specific runtime before shutdown? I see only two options a) conserve battery or b) Run as long as possible.
Thanks,
Dan

Hi,
1 - No. You can use PCBE Agent only. The Agent is accessible via web browser. To access the Agent in your web browser type https://ip address of the computer:6547 (example https://192.168.1.2:6547) or just click on the web Agent link that should be present in Start - Programs - PowerChute Business Edition
2 - Not at this time. We are looking to add that feature into an upcoming version.
3 - When in the Agent interface you can configure an on battery event. Example when on battery for 10 minutes shut down. If you are using the Console then you can configure shut down under Device Properties - Power Failure Note: you must click on "Show advanced items" in the lower left of the Device Properties window to see the Power Failure settings.
