Overly "High Utility Voltage"

I have bought a used 230V, 700va Smart-UPS RM (2U version). The powerchute software is showing an "Extended Overvoltage" alarm as it has been compenstating for a high input voltage for an extended period of time. Powerchute reports thats the input voltage is 255V, which according to my voltmeter is circa 10Volts high.

Is there a way to adjust this?

Yes, if you move the high transfer point up to 265, the unit should come online.

You may want to check out this kbase that demonstrates the Smartups transfer points:

As for output voltage, thats up to you.

What is the exact model number? 255V is pretty high for any unit, including a 240V UPS. You can adjust high and low transfer voltages in SmartUPS units through the PowerChute Business Edition software.

Thanks.

It's an SU700RMI 2U.
I have just swapped the batteries into another unit which is reporting 253V in PowerChute. The voltmeter still reads circa 245V (small meter so hard to be precise), i will try to find my digital meter and/or AVO tomorrow. Anyway both of these voltages are in excess of what should be expected in the UK!

I guess I just push the High-Transfer Voltage to 265V? and maybe even push the Nominal Output Voltage up to 240V?
