Overload w/ bad batteries how to decommission?
We have a APC Symmetra PX rack, it's at least 10 years old. Just yesterday it began to alarm. We cannot clear the alarms, and I highly doubt that the batteries have been changed in that time.
What is the best way to decommission as it's not needed? We bought the building, and that stayed as part of the previous owner not wanting to deal with it. Is there a way to be able to have the rack act in bypass and pull the batteries, as the system isn't needed, but looking at doing this rather than having an electrician come and redo the power for the other racks?
Any help appreciated, I have veeeeery little experience with APC's so unfortunately need really dumbed down explanations.
