?Hi,
I've replaced my Smart UPS to the SMT1500, on Windows 7. The 127.0.0.1:3052 address that is on the software I have on my computer, leads to doesn't display. So I can't see if anything is setup.
Is there a new IP address to access?
It is PowerChute Business edition. I'm thinking I need a newer version. The one that came with it on disk, is an older version and wouldn't install.
I think I just need the PowerChute Business without all the other things.
I'm confused.
Should I uninstall the PowerChute what is on my computer first, it is about 4 years old?
Then install the PowerChute Business Edition v9.1.1 for Windows 7, dated 10/17/14?
Thanks for your help.

Hi
I am glad you got the issue resolved. I wanted to help explain some of what you saw.
1.) We have a bug in our website where the file dates are not correct. It will be fixed shortly. PowerChute hasn't been updated in several months.
2.) SMT/SMX requires PowerChute 8.5.1 and higher to communicate with the newer style of UPS so that is why your older version of PowerChute probably did not work and required you to update it to v9.
3.) I am not aware of an issue using Chrome with PowerChute Business Edition as I have accessed PowerChute Business Edition many times via Chrome without issue. I just wanted to clarify that and also see if you had a reference number or something from your discussion with technical support so I could review it.

OK, I uninstalled the old Powerchute and installed the new, did the password setup. I found the link that takes me to the PowerChute log on, but it won't accept my username and PW I just did! How can I get that reset?
I don't know what to do...
There seem to be 2 links. one won't take me to the web, says it isn't secure. The other one will let me go through after I say I will accept the peril anyway, but it won't take my logon.

OK, I was able to get someone in the tech department today, Sat. He was great. He said the best thing to do was to uninstall and start over again. He was also thinking it may have something to do with Java. The install has a version of Java that is installed or updates the Java that is on my computer. When I did the install of PowerChute, I didn't ok that.
So we uninstalled, restarted the computer, checked programs to be sure everything did infact uninstall, then reinstalled PowerChute for Windows 7. and this time accepted Java. Did the username and password and this time, it worked.
Of interest, one of the links that is in the startup, seems to want to open in Chrome, which doesn't support the interface. It wouldn't let me push through the certificate warning.
But the other link, would take me to IE and would allow me to get to the log on and this time I was successful in logging in. The Tech guys says it only works on IE or Foxfire web browsers. Good to know.
