I have a Smart-UPS X 1500 with a UPS Network Management Card 2 and have configured All Critical Events to notify a email address with a delay of 5 minutes. I want to receive an email only if a event is not resolved within 5 min. However, I am still getting the following two emails as soon as they occur:
UPS: On battery power in response to distorted input.
UPS: No longer on battery power.
The emails occur within seconds of each other. I looked through the different event actions, but can't pinpoint where to set the delay for this event.

That is a warning event, not critical. That is why it is still coming. It is the first event in my screenshot and will be on yours under input line status, just worded a little differently on my card.
I would go to By Event->Input Line status category and you'll see the event in there. Don't forget to specifically disable any groups or events you don't want.

Can you tell me what UPS Network Management Card 2 (NMC2) firmware you have so I can provide instructions?
By default, all events are configured to repeat every 1, 2, 5, or 10 minutes depending on what they are until the condition clears. You'll have to go in by group/severity or by event if you'd like to modify anything or specifically disable any.
Do you want to apply the "5 minute delay" to EVERY type of event?
On either older v5.1.X firmware go to Administration->Notification-> By event/group and on v6.0.6, you can get to this same menu under Configuration->Notification->Event Actions.
Basically, what I do, is disable everything I do not want to get. Also, some events are informational and you cannot delay them, they just happen. Like user logged in or logged out for example.
So, depending on what you want, you can go in by group or by event and it walks you through a wizard to adjust delays and intervals.
You'll see a similar screen to this no matter the firmware that you can adjust for an event or a group or severity.

Angela, I have a AP9631 running v5.1.7. I want to apply a 5 minute delay for NOTIFICATIONS for all critical events. I have already used the wizard to create the delay, but I keep getting the
UPS: On battery power in response to distorted input.
UPS: No longer on battery power.
messages too frequently. Here is a screen shot of one of the events. Can you let me know which event the distorted input is listed under?
