I have been using APC UPS backups for over a decade. I have set up eight college computer labs using Mac's and have always relied on APC for my UPS equipment. Why in all this time has APC never been able to supply a functional Power Chute software for Mac? I just purchased another Back-UPS Pro 1500G for personal use this month and still no software; and I though Apple was an arogent company when it came to customers needs.

Paul,
There are 2 options. First, Apple OS comes with built in power options that work with APC and other branded UPS. There is no need to load a secondary application. We have Kbase FA159690 that shows how to set up native power protection.
The second option is APCUPSD. APCUPSD is not an APC / Schneider software however the developers of the application have work with our engineers and it is a sold option for power protection if native is deemed unsuitable.
