No PCNS,low battery time, according event.

Hello,

sorry in upfront. I know that the web is full of discussions and question about what is low battery condition and so on.

First of all, I don't want to use PCNS or whatever SW on the clients. We have LX clients and have configured SNMP Traps on them.

Basically all we want to do is to receive a notification for the "last 10 Battery Minutes" and from there decide our self in which order or how

the shutdown happens.

I did some basic test. I attached some load (not shutdown able... beamer)  to the battery and removed the input power. 

I watched all the emails flow in. The amount of repetition is because of the "repeat" setting in the Events setting.

So here they are:

50xUPS: On battery power in response to rapid change of input.

8x: Critical - UPS: The battery power is too low to continue to support the load; the UPS will shut down if input power does not return to normal soon.

1x: Warning - UPS: Main outlet group, UPS Outlets, has been commanded to shutdown with on delay.

1x Warning - UPS: Switched outlet group 1, Outlet Group 1, has been commanded to shutdown, sequenced.

1x Informational - UPS: No longer on battery power.

1x Informational - UPS: The graceful shutdown period has ended.

4x Informational - UPS: A low battery condition no longer exists

5x Warning - UPS: The power for the main outlet group, UPS Outlets, is now turned off.

5x Critical - UPS: The output power is turned off.

5x Critical - UPS: The battery power is too low to support the load; if power fails, the UPS will be shut down immediately.

5x Warning - UPS: The power for switched outlet group 1, Outlet Group 1, is now turned off.

For all what I have read now in the forums / web I would assume that

"Critical - UPS: The battery power is too low to continue to support the load; the UPS will shut down if input power does not return to normal soon."

is the indication for my desired "last 10 minutes" Battery Power.

Now the mystery begins. I did this test two times. One time with the default setting of 2 minutes "Low Battery duration", and one time with 10 minutes "Low Battery duration"

For both tests I can see that

"Critical - UPS: The battery power is too low to continue to support the load; the UPS will shut down if input power does not return to normal soon."

comes appr. 10 minutes before 

"Warning - UPS: Main outlet group, UPS Outlets, has been commanded to shutdown with on delay."

1.) Please confirm if "Device UPS: The battery power is too low to continue to support the load;" is the indication for the "low battery duration"

2.) Why did I get two times 10 minutes ? 

3.) What is the Event of the "real" shutdown of the UPS Outputs, without any delays etc.. e.g. " is now turned off. " ? 

4.) What means "Device UPS: A low battery condition no longer exists. " I don't understand  why this shows up. Why is the low battery condition over ?
