I am looking for the latest XPDU firmware. 3-phase tech support e-mailed me
AOS = apc_hw02_aos_334.bin
APP = apc_hw02_xpdu_331.bin
I had read else where in these forums that there was an xpdu 3.3.3 out there. (search forum for xpdu) Could that have been a reference to an earlier version AOS?
thanx

K-dog,
That is the latest available FW for A 3-phase ISX PDU'S Network Management Card. I can't recall off the top of my head if there was anything embedded with 3.3.3, based on the numbering scheme, it wouldn't make sense that there was. The 3.x have gone 3.3.1, 3.3.4 and 3.5.7. On the APP side I believe it went 3.3.1 and 3.5.6. I will double check in the morning when I have access to my computer to check my backtracked FW versions.

hello,
As far as I know, the firmware you got from Tech support is the latest version for xPDU. I can't remember there was xpdu 333 released.

Notorious & Ann
Thanks for the replies...I am interested in making sure the ISX PDUs are able to be put on the public side. The thread I saw mentioned the latest firmware fixed an issue of the ISX PDUs having to be on the private side.

I have verified with APC Three-Phase support they are currently at 3.3.4. They are not yet up to the single-phase standard of 3.5.7

I was assuming that you are using 2nd generation PDU brain that should have the part number as OM5103/OM5104. If it is , you can put the XPDU v3.3.1 to public side . If you have ISX mgr, you can also add xPDU to ISX mgr just like adding other APC network enabled devices..

4500 series should be the old style brain cans that did not have a built in web interface or SNMP capability. I don't think you can use the above xpdu firmware for the 1st gen xpdu brain. The old gen xpdu communicated using DCAL and could only be monitored while on the private side of an Information Controller or ISX Manager.

Thanks
That is the right FW file.
Unfortunately the log data for each circuit is still blank.

Sorry about bringing back an old thread but it is exactly what I am looking for.
I have 3 tower PDUs that have never been updated since install over 5 years ago. I am looking to see output breaker readings but everything comes up empty in InfraStruXure Manager. I figured a FW update on these 3 might start that monitoring.
The units are 3-phase 0M-5103
Application Module
Name: xpdu
Version: v3.3.1
Date: 04/17/2007
APC OS (AOS)
Name: aos
Version: v3.3.4
Date: 01/05/2007
Could I get a link for an update. My ISX Manager program doesn't work well for updates since we have to use a proxy. I think I was able to manually update the rack PDUs last time manually.
Thanks

I'll attach the file here for you. Generally, any firmware downloads would be posted here -> Software / Firmware
I can't find that one though..
*Edit* - found it. Configurable Power Distribution Unit Firmware v3.7.3 For some reason, it does not follow the naming conventions of other downloads..

I don't know much about that device personally and the application as to what shows and what should not show. Are you thinking they should be showing or was it a feature you were looking for? based on your first post, it seemed to be something you thought should be there and was hoping a FW update fixed it.

The devices in question are full rack height tower PDUs that feed the individual PDUs in each rack.
I can see log data on the individual rack PDUs and figure there should be log data for the larger PDUs.
We have some blade enclosures connected directly to these PDUs, I was hoping to get readings on the current to those.

Hello again eziemann - I asked someone on our three phase team for help here. They explained to me that you must have Branch Circuit Monitoring boards (which is an add on) installed because they do not come installed from the factory. Here is the link to that part -> BRANCH MONITORING CIRCUIT BOARD (21 POSITIONS) . Basically for each panel, you'd need two installed - one for the evens and one for the odds per panel. The load must be taken down to install these on the ISX PDU. Once you install these devices, then the data log will populate. Right now though, there is nothing measuring the branch circuits.
The only thing you can probably see now is just that those branch circuits exist. Those are listed under Power Distribution->Branch Circuits sub tab.
Hope that helps!

It's been a few years since that firmware was recommended. Is 3.7.3 still the most current FW? I've got a whole bunch of 'em, and I'd like to ensure we're current.
Thanks!
