I am about to purchase new batteries for a symmetra lx (sybt5). What date should i expect on the manufacture test date? The store has them in stock, but for all I know they could have been sitting there for months and be half dead before I get them. Or am I worried about nothing?

Thanks for that, yes I am buying the whole modules. Just did not want something that had used half its life sitting on a shelf. I will check the serial numbers.

are you replacing the entire SYBT5 module? the symmetra LX system is designed to have the entire [SYBT5 module|http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=sybt5] be replaced as there is intelligence in the battery that will not report correctly if you replace the individual modules within the SYBT5. if you purchase an entire SYBT5 module, the serial number will indicate the manufacture date and it will come with some type of warranty. i wouldnt want something older than 6 months or a 1 year old at most but you'd essentially want the newest module you can find.
