Our company just bought a ups. Can someone advice is I can use the Powerchute Network Shutdown software with this ups. I have already installed the software but cannot connect to the ups witn some error. Upon checking at the website, it only shows Powerchute Business Edition.

I manage to find the location to configure the passphrase. It is connected now. Thank you.

Yes, you can use PowerChute Network Shutdown assuming the OS is supported. The SMX model number you have ends in NC. That means the UPS shipped with a pre-install network management card. You will need to configured the network management card and then install PowerChute Network Shutdown to communicate with the card.

Thank you for your reply. I am having issues connecting to the Network Management Card. I created an account on the for the agent in the ups under General User Management. However I notice there is a mention of passphrase on the PCNS application but i do not see that at the management card interface.
