New SRC2000I Battery Fault flashing red and beeps

Hello,

Out of the box SRC2000I  beeps and Battery Fault LED flashing red. Internal battery connector is connected.

Is it a normal behaviour till it charges or I should return it?

Thank you

Hi Fuad,

You've indicated the unit is new, however from the serial number I can see the unit is over 4 yrs old. If the unit had sat on a shelve without being charged for the past 4 yrs, it's safe to say the battery is dead.

I would recommend contacting your local Schneider Electric support for further assistance. This will likely result in warranty replacement.

Hi Fuad,

Is the unit newly acquired or has it been in service for a period of time? You may notice a yellow connector on the back of the unit. This is the method for connecting the internal batteries.

Hello,

Thank you for reply

Yes, that yellow connector is plugged in

The unit is brand new, moreover, we asked the seller to check another unit of the same model and it also behaved the same way. Any thoughts?

Hi Fuad,

Are there any LED indicators other than the Replace Battery active? What does the Battery Bar graph (right LED strip) indicate?

Can you also let me know the serial numbers of the two SRC2000I units that you and the reseller have tested?

If you turn the UPS on and then disconnect it from input power, does it transfer to battery and stay on, or does the unit turn off?

Thanks

Hello Szabi,

Online green LED is on. Battery Bar shows 2 green bars when I press and hold the Test button

The serial number of the one we have is US1438100927. I dont know the serial number of the unit reseller is testing now

If I turn it on and then disconnect the power, it just shuts down

Thanks

Hi Fuad,

Typically it is the first two numbers in the serial number that indicate the year of manufacture, for example the unit with serial number: US1438100927 was manufactured in 2014.
