Hello, First post here.
I need some help with Smart-UPS 5000 and AP9606 network card.
I try to setup the network for the AP9606 but i cant.
(I don't have the serial cable. It has lost in time)
The light of the network card is solid green with or without Ethernet cable attached.
I connect the Ethernet, and try both the ip manager and the arp -s etc command in cmd.
In ip manager dont find anything both in the ip section and the locate unconfigured cards.
In the cmd with arp -s command when i ping the given ip address don't receive any packets.
With luck i see in the arp table of the router that the mac address of the UPS have the address 172.21.33.64
My Network have the form of 10.0.0.x with DCHP enable.
I try to reset the card with reset button. when i press it the green light blink red and after some seconds return to stable green but the ip stays unchanged.
This is the first time we try to connect the UPS to network from the time we buy it. Why the card have some random ip?
How i resolve this problem?
Thanks a lot.
I attach some photos.

Hello,
A solid green status LED means that the AP9606 has been assigned a valid IP address. Since the IP on the card is not one that works on your network, it's safe to assume that the 172.x.x.x IP has been staticly assigned, and not assigned through DHCP. Unfortunately, with the AP9606 the only way to reset the card back to defaults would be to use the serial cable and directly connect it, following the procedure here for local configuration: https://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA156064/#Terminal
If able, you could also try to create a direct network connection between the AP9606 and a computer. You would need to assign an IP to the computer that would be valid for the network the AP9606 is configured to use, which would be similar to the configuration outlined here: https://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA156366/

If that screenshot is from your card, it is picking up an IP address from your network using the BOOTP protocol. Is it possible you have another DHCP/BOOTP server lurking on the network somewhere?
Regardless, disable BOOTP and you should be able to assign an address manually.
