Hello,
I have rack PDUs that are AP7932's and I want to remotely manage and monitor them, but I'm having trouble. How do you remotely manage these? Through web interface? SSHing? I've tried those ways and nothing works. Perhaps I'm configuring them wrong? I am able to ping the IPs that I'm using. If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
These offer HTTP (default), HTTPS (configurable), Telnet (default), SSH (configurable), SNMPv1/v3, FTP, and SCP (when SSH is configured) for access.
How did you configure an IP on the device? I would verify that you followed the instructions, at least one method, we have outlined here for NMC1 (which is what this device falls under)-> How do you make a Network Management Card communicate on a network? | FAQs | Schneider Electric US
If you followed those instructions and you can verify the settings stuck (because they do require you to log out or reboot the PDU for them to take effect), perhaps at least by verifying the IP on the PDU by holding down the "control" button that is to the right or bottom of the 7-segment display for five seconds and it will say "IP" and scroll the IP across the screen (see below for diagram), then I'd check to make sure you don't have a proxy server configured that cannot access the PDUs, verify you have a solid green status LED on the PDU itself (LED that has a checkmark or X next to it on the network jack) and verify you have a link LED on the network jack (LED that says 10/100).
Here is the "control" button - again, hold it down for 5 seconds or so until it says "IP" and let go and it will scroll the IP address across the screen.
Hope that helps get you started.

I figured it out. I didn't realized there was a proxy server/fire wall that I had to go through lol. Thank you for the help

Hi Angela,
Thanks for responding. I have configured the PDU by directly connecting to the serial port and have done exactly as it says below
You are now in the control console.
To confirm that the settings stuck I have held down the button and the correct IP shows. I have also pinged the IP in a terminal window and the IP is able to be pinged once I configured the PDU. However, I can't access the web interface when I put in the IP. It just does not load anything. I'm quite confused

What about the link LED (which I assume is fine assuming you haven't made a typo on the IP you're accessing) or proxy server I mentioned? Is it possible there is a typo in the subnet mask?
You could also try a direct connection to the PDU (with a crossover cable if you don't have 1000mbps enabled NIC) and see if you can access it that way (if that's not already what you're doing).
Lastly, were these brand new or previously configured? If you're not sure or they were used, you could also try resetting the unit to defaults (you can either include or exclude TCP/IP settings in that command) which is available under Main Menu->System->Tools I believe.
