Hi All
I have a APC SMART-UPS X SMX1500RMI2U, which is currently rack mounted (in a 2-pole free standing rack), but I need to relocate my lab for a few weeks and the location is not deep enough for the rack, so I need to find an alternative to accommodate the UPS.
My questions are:
Looking at the product brochure, they indicate these UPS can be stood vertically. Does anybody know if this would cause problems?
If not, can I just remove the rack-ears and place it on its side? (Its on a wooden surface)
Does anybody know the part number for the vertical stands?
Thanks

Yes. The UPS is designed to stand vertically or racked horizontally. The controller that includes the LCD panel can be rotated to match how the UPS is positioned.
