Hello,

I've heard it is possible to send SMS to a cell phone from a UPS with a NMC. So, is it really possible? and if it is, how can this be done?

HA,

You can do this by telling the NMC to send an e-mail to the address that is associated with your phone. Most cell phone carriers associate your phone number with an email address, such as @vtext.com for Verizon cell phones. When you send an email that address, you will basically get the contents of that email as a txt message. There are certain limitations wih character length, and I'm not sure how well the length of the emails from the NMC will the limits set by your wireless carrier but it is certainly worth a try

I wil try this possibility but it seems the carriers in Peru don't have this type of service enabled.
