NMC INI file from one UPS model--can it be loaded in a different model?
Good Day!
I am wondering if a INI file from a NMC inserted in model X UPS can be loaded in a different model UPS? For example, can I download a INI file from AP9631 in a SUA1000XL and upload it to a AP9631 in a SMX1500RM2U? How about the same file downloaded from the SUA1000XL, can it be uploaded to a Galaxy MGE? How about the other way, can I download the AP9631 from a Galaxy or a SMX1500RM2U and upload it to a SUA1000XL?
How about an AP9630, can the INI be uploaded to a AP9631?
I would love to have a way to determine the model of the NMC and let the INI utility file determine the appropriate file to be uploaded.

Hi Jeff,
Different devices may have different settings due to the factors you've identified. So if you're applying an INI from one device to another, only settings they share in common will be updated and the others show up as errors in the log. I edit my .INI files to only contain the settings I want to apply.
Sensitive SmartUPS settings such as output voltage and transfer points are linked to the UPS serial number so that they aren't accidentally applied to other UPSes. Not sure if that applies to Galaxy/MGE... I don't deal with those directly. Either way, you can remove these settings from the INI since you probably don't want to mass configure them.
The AP9631 is a superset of the AP9630 so for mass configuration I'd use an INI from the 31.
