Hello,
Am I understanding your question correct?
You have two UPS units we'll call UPS A and UPS B, both with network cards. You want to install powerchute on your server. During the installation, you want to use the IP address of UPS A. However, the server will be plugged into UPS B?
If this is what you want to do, the problem that could arise is that UPS B could switch to battery while UPS A stays on line. Because UPS A stays online, the server never gets an on battery message from the network card because UPS A, the card being monitored, is still online. If the on battery event lasts long enought that UPS B's battery dies, then UPS B will drop the server when the battery runs out.
If you were thinking of something differend with regards to your configuration, let me know.

So why would you be pointing PCNS on Server A to UPS B if the server is connected and relying on UPS A??
