Minimal modules configuration to start a Symmetra PX2.

Hello, we have a malfunctioning Symmetra PX2. This has gone through several technicians but they haven't been able to diagnose the problem. I think there must be some problem in the communication bus, since apparently the individual modules seem to work.

Currently I am trying to power it with the least number of modules, a power module, a battery pack without and whithin the communication module, a single inteligence module (MIM) or both (MIM/RIM) and the static switch.

I really don't know how to continue with the UPS power on. It currently does not detect any power modules.

The LCD screen does not respond to the commands sent by the keyboard and the alarms are not updated.

But the following information could be obtained via an extra network card.

"No Power Modules Detected"

"Extended Run Frame Fault"

"Output power Turned Off"

"System Start-Up Configuration Fault"

MIM: R State; 00 000 0000 1000 00401 000 1E 0000
RIM: R State; 00 000 0000 1000 00401 000 1E 0000

Hi,

What age is your UPS? Could you provide the two letters and first four digits of the serial number? This will indicate the week and year of manufacture.

What is the UPS model number?

Has it ever worked in its current location?

The Symmetra PX is a complex unit. I would suggest it better to create a case and get one to one assistance from Technical Support.

If you go to APC.com and select your country.

Select “Support” and contact us.

If you use “Use our web form” and submit your question now. You will have the ability to complete a web form with your UPS details and your contact detail. This when submitted will go to the correct team.

Kindest Regards,

Rich...
