Matrix 5000 - OK to hot swap batteries?
Hey guys & gals,
We've got a Matrix 5000 with a number of additional SmartCell XR batteries - one of these battery packs is definitely warmer than the others (and given we've had issues with the batteries in our other Matrix 5000 which we've since decomissioned (battery pack was extremely hot, identified as bulging after the fact)
What I'd like to know is if its possible to hot-swap batteries on a Matrix 5000? (The last one we had an issue with, we ended up shutting down the UPS because we were unsure)
Is it just as simple as putting the unit into bypass mode, unplugging the affected battery and returning from bypass mode? (The suspect one is the last battery on the string so I only need to unplug the one unit)
