We moved our office and somehow the battery communication cable got lost. We have the Matrix Smartcell XL battery module.
This apparently isn't a regular RJ-11 jack and without it the UPS constantly displays "no battery communication". I've scoured this site and eBay for replacement but so far no luck. Could someone more knowledgeable than myself tell me where I could get one of these or what the part number is so I can order it. Maybe even what kind of jack this is.
Merry Christmas!

Thank you so much. I've sent an email to tech support as well. I'm looking forward to getting this thing back online.
Again I really appreciate your help in this matter. This is why I always buy APC. Best product, even better people.
_____________
I can get RJ-9 connectors here local. I'll assume when you say "crossover" you mean the wires flip 180 degrees when crimped or do they flip on each side?
Either way i'm in a pickle and need one ASAP. My boss is going to freak when he finds out. I don't really like my job but I don't want to lose it either. He's just itching to can me and I don't need to add to his ever growing list of reason to let me go.
Thank you!

Thanks for the super quick reply. According to tech support this cable is a standard phone headset cable and I can get one from Radio Shack or Wally World.
I really appreciate your help. Your service is the standard by which I judge others and many fall far short. I only wish every company was as concerned about their customers as you.
Best wishes to you and yours this holiday season.
Thank you!

According to the email from Tech support it's a standard phone headset cable. The curly one from the base to the headset. I hope so because the email also said they don't sell the cord separately it only comes with a new XL pack.
I will try the RJ-9 headset cable later today and get back with you.
Again thank you so much for your time and consideration in this matter.

oh and FYI - the UPS will still function correctly and go to battery and all that stuff - the only things it CAN'T do/tell you without the battery comm cable are - the number of batteries you have, their type (smartcell/smartcell-XR), and their status/health (good/bad). it will still go to battery during a power problem just as it normally would.

The new cable I purchased didn't work but one I found on an old rotary phone worked fine. Go figure.
The UPS is now happy and so am I.
Thanks for all your help in this matter.
Rarely do I get to deal with a company of such caliber.
