Many "Communications lost" messages in event log of AP8641
This PDU was previously connected to a network of multiple PDUs, and is now being used independently. After disconnecting for a few months and now setting it up again, many error messages like the following appear in the event log:
Rack PDU 1: Component communications lost with Outlet Board 3 Meter. Please verify that a terminator is inserted in either the In or Out port.
Rack PDU 1: Component communications lost with Outlet Board 2 Meter. Please verify that a terminator is inserted in either the In or Out port.
Rack PDU 1: Component communications lost with Outlet Board 1 Meter. Please verify that a terminator is inserted in either the In or Out port.
Rack PDU 1: Communications lost.
Rack PDU 1: Component communications lost with Phase Meter.
All monitoring reads 0 both from the Web UI and the display on the unit. I have tried attaching the terminator to both the IN and OUT ports (individually), with no difference. I have not tried running the unit without the terminator installed, nor have I tried two terminators or a different terminator (I only have one available).
I have tried re-seating the display connector, as well as the other three connectors under the display. No components on the boards look obviously damaged, nor do any of the internal wires. I updated the firmware to the latest version (7.1.3) successfully, with no change in behaviour. I reset the device to factory defaults, with no change in behaviour.
Are there any further troubleshooting steps I can take? This device worked perfectly 6 months ago, and nothing has changed except for being powered off during that time and no longer being connected to other PDUs.
I have attached the result of About->Support->Generate Logs, hopefully that will be of further help.

You have completed all of the relevant troubleshooting steps besides swapping the display with another to see if the problem follows the display to another PDU.
If you take a good working display and insert it into the trouble PDU and you see a fault it’s the PDU. If however the (swapped) display operates fine you at least know the PDU is also not at fault.
NEXT: Taking the problem display to a fully working & functional PDU. If the issue persists the display is faulty and needs to be repaired / replaced.
Let me know what you find and the break fix. If this feedback is relevant and on point mark this as solved. 👍🍺
