I am not sure if I'm missing something simple here, but am hoping someone can help me out.
I have an MGE Pulsar EXB 1500c UPS with a Network Management Card 'minislot' 66244. I do not know the network configuration on this card and want to reconfigure it for my network. I have followed the manual instructions for resetting the password to the factory default which should be MGEUPS.
Using the serial cable and Hyper Terminal I can access the console on the NMC and am presented with the welcome banner and a password prompt, but am having problems getting it to accept a password? I type the password in which displays '*' for each character, but when I try and hit 'enter' after the password it simply displays more '*'? Eventually after a minute or two it appears to time out and goes to READY status, where if hit another key it goes back to the password prompt. Is there another key I need to hit to submit the password? Or are my Hyperterminal settings incorrect, nothing I have fiddled with appears to make any difference?
