Lost Communication to the UPS after firmware update

Hello,

I have APC Smart-UPS 2200VA LCD 230V (SMT2200I) with AP9631 and before the firmware update, everything was fine.

After the update, I have "Lost Communication to the UPS".

Could you help me, please?

Thanks,
Nik

Hi @NikSpasov,

Thanks for the screenshot, it makes getting to the issue much easier - the screenshot shows the firmware loaded is "sy3p", which is for 3-Phase Symmetra UPS - so the card is complaining because it's trying to speak to a Symmetra, and a Symmetra isn't answering.

The current firmware for your UPS would be https://www.se.com/ie/en/product/SFSUMX704/ups-network-management-card-v7-0-4-firmware-for-smartups-...

As the card still appears to be on the network, recovery should be as simple as loading the correct firmware.

Regards,

  Shaun

Thank you very much, @Shaun,

Somehow, I successfully killed the network card.

I have downloaded this: file apc_hw05_aos704_sumx704_bootmon109.exe
In the middle of installation, the tool lost connection to UPS. (FTP method)

Now I can't find the network card anymore.

Do you have any idea how to fix this mess?

Thanks

Nik

Hi @Shaun ,

Everything is fine now.

The new firmware has disabled HTTP communication. HTTPS is enabled and now all works fine.

Thank you very much!

All the best,

Nik
