Logging on standalone SMT1500

Hello,
In the past we have used the SUA1500 UPS. This is the first SMT1500 we have used. My customer had a power failure and there was nothing in the log.
My question is, how does logging work on the UPS? This is a standalone device not hooked to a pc or running any monitoring software. Just trying to see whats in the logs using the LCD panel. Shouldn't a power outage generate a log entry? The outage was a few minutes. What entries will show up in the log?
I've trying checking the manuals and all they tell me is there is a log but not what messages there might be or when log entries get generated.
