Local Management-To-NMC Integrated EM Sensor Communication Lost: Universal I/O at Port 1-2

Firmware upgrade to v7.x causes event log to fill up every second with the following errors.

09/17/2022	13:29:51	Device	Environment: Restored the local network management interface-to-integrated Environmental Monitor (Universal I/O at Port 2) communication.

09/17/2022	13:29:50	Device	Environment: Lost the local network management interface-to-integrated Environmental Monitor (Universal I/O at Port 1) communication.
09/17/2022	13:29:50	Device	Environment: Restored the local network management interface-to-integrated Environmental Monitor (Universal I/O at Port 1) communication.

This is affecting the cards performance, interface is slow to respond to all requests.

Card is installed in an SMX1500RM2UNC

Have a pair of these UPS and AP9631 exact same hardware specs, both at the same firmware revisions, only the one card is having issues.

What I have done so far.

Various resets of the card - issue remains

BM>factory_reset - issue remains

reflash card with BM>xmodem

Rolled back to firmware version 6.5 - issue is gone

Rolled back to various 7.x versions - issue remains.

removed for an extended period of time and reseated the card

installed environment monitor cables, reset lost com alarm, reboot

Hopefully someone has some insight into this issue, as I can no longer use my environment monitors with the card in this state.

Thank you for reaching out to the SE Community, my name is Jon and I will assist you with this query.  Apologies for the inconvenience that the issue has caused.

I would normally disconnect everything that is connected to the network card and press the reset button quickly to reboot the NMC or reseat it.  Once it has booted up, I will then start connecting those peripherals back to the card and reboot it once more.

If possible, I also suggest reflashing the card once more.

Have done the reflash and the reset and the reseat.

There are no sensors/peripherals connected to the card.

There never was, except for a test to reset the fault.

I want to connect sensors to it, but those i/o ports are in a fault state.

the errors every few seconds make the card almost unusable, as it consumes lots of resources recording faults continually.

Have picked up a replacement card, but would like to revive this one for another unit for environment monitoring.
