Line Filtering LED Flashes

I have three Smart-UPS 1400 RM XL. Firmware version 73.14.D

All are rack mounted units protecting an SBS-2008 server and two Win-7 rack mounted PC's

Two of the APC units work perfectly. Powerchute finds and manages them just fine. 🙂

On unit #3, the Line Filtering LED flashes, Powerchute can't find the unit, the orange (battery) LED lights occasionally and the unit chirps randomly - about every 2 minutes - and occasionally the unit beeps continuously for a minute or two.

I've tried to brain-dead the unit -- unplugged, and hold the power button for 6 to 8 seconds. Aslo tried that with the batteries unplugged. All lights go out and I hear a couple of faint internal clicks etc etc. But as soon as I plug the unit in and push the power button the Line Filtering LED flashes and it's right back to same chirping etc etc.

i will attach a picture of the front panel of the UPS based on "Smart UPS 1400 RM XL" - there is no "line filtering LED" so I am confused on which one is on. i am guessing it might be AVR but can you point it out in the diagram?
