Is there a way to use PCPE to shutdown the computer instead of hibernate?

Hello. Newbie here. A BE550G had been purchased to use with hopes of gracefully powering off a computer running a signage message board (only PC is connected to UPS). It will only hibernate, even with hibernate/sleep turned off within PC power management, understand PCPE is obviously overriding this. I'm running Win 7 64 bit OS. I chatted with an agent who sent me older version of software that would shutdown the PC but it was not for 64 bit OS. Chatted with another agent yesterday who said there was no way of doing a graceful shutdown, I would have to un-install the PCPE and manually shut down the PC. Totally defeats purpose as this needs to be un-attended. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
