Is it a good idea to connect everything to UPS for surge protection?
As title.
Is it a good idea to connect every peripherals connected to the PC to the UPS surge protection ports?
Suppose that I have a USB disk, a router or something else connected to the wall and to the PC via USB.
Is it possible that a surge can go to the PC via the USB disk, or via the router?
If yes, is it good to connect a power strip to the surge protected ports of the UPS and connect all those peripherals to the UPS?
Thanks.

Is it ok to connect a normal strip without surge protection? It is not recommended to add a power strip to a UPS. Doing so could over load the UPS and it may violate local electrical code.
even if the strip is loaded with all low power consumption peripherals for a total of 30W?

Yes you should protect all peripherals that are connected to the PC.

The UPS provides surge protection so you do not need to connect a secondary surge strip to the UPS.

Hi thanks for the answer.
I don't mean that I want to connect a surge strip to the UPS but I want to connect a "simple strip" to the UPS because I don't have enough ports on UPS for all the peripherals. (the ports on UPS is also different).
Is it ok to connect a normal strip without surge protection?
