I have a feeling that my SUA1000uxi's charger is not working or is failing

My APC SmartUps 1000 contains (2) 12v batteries. The voltage across the pair of batteries when charging is 24V while plugged into the socket. Does this mean the charger is not working properly in the UPS? What should the voltage be across when the batteries are charging? I'm checking my readings with a multimeter.

Hello

• Is the UPS charging constantly?
• Does it report fully charged?
• What is the float voltage as reported by the UPS when it is not charging?
• Is there another reason why you're checking this?

I'd have to check what the voltage should be while charging but those are my initial questions which could point us towards an answer.
