How to upgrade Firmware ATS AP4424A

As the subject suggests, I’m looking to gather your insights and experiences regarding the firmware upgrade process for the ATS AP4424A product line.

Current firmware version: 0.2.5
Target version: 3.2.0

I’d greatly appreciate it if you could share any step-by-step instructions or best practices you followed during the upgrade. Additionally, does the upgrade process involve any power downtime or interruptions?

This specific model ATS firmware doesn’t explicitly state the secondary power source needs to be removed as was stated for several others.

Going on historical and personal experience I would not count on the APC Release Notes to be accurate! 🤦‍♂️

Suggest you schedule this firmware upgrade during a maintenance window where you can disconnect the secondary power source B and power down all connected loads and unplug.

Than proceed with the firmware upgrade if the hardware is still under warranty. If the unit is not in warranty better have a hot spare ready in case the firmware bricks the system.
