Hi everyone,
Recently we had a power outage and 3 of out 4 SURTD5000XLT did not come back at all. I am talking completely dead. No LEDs, no sound and no power coming out of the outlets.
First step was to check the circuit breaker on the back. Not tripped on any of them. For good measure I reset it but as expected that did not produce any results.
Next we checked the circuit and outlet for utility power. Not the issue, outlet is powered just fine, so my conclusion was that it is the SURTD5000XLT unit.
So how do I proceed from here please? At this point I just need to make that SURTD5000XLT output power, whether battery protected or not is irrelevant. I tried the bypass mechanical toggle switch on the back - zero result. The UPS seems completely dead
What do I do? Thank you

How to factory reset SURTD5000XLT or bypass it completely? I have left it plugged in for about 2 days, I assumed the battery will eventually charge so I can turn it ON but that hasn't happened. What else can I do? The UPS appears to be totally dead at this point?
Thank you

Hi,
Sorry for the delayed reply. A SURTD5K will not power on if it has dead batteries so I suggest you check the battery voltage. The battery pack is RBC140 that includes 16 12v batteries. There are 2 cases that include 8 batteries each. The pack should read 108v - 112v that includes float voltage. If the battery pack is close to 96v it is weak.

Thanks Bill, just measured it with my trusty 87 V and it's mid 90s. I will let it charge for a day and let's see if it comes back alive. Thank you!
