How to detect new batteries in SMC 1000i ?

Hi,

we have just recently replaced batteries in a Smart UPS  C 1000i ( SMC1000i )

That is:

Power of the server.

Power off the UPS.

Replaced the batteries.

Power up the UPS.

Power up the server.

But according to Powerchute  the new batteries is not detected.

Still the old info available: Aged battery...3,45 years old etc....

Shouldn´t  the UPS be "smart" enough to detect the new batteries ?

If not, how do we "tell" the UPS this fact ?

pull the batteries while the unit is on, this causes my SMT2200i to ask if they have been replaced.

Hi,

Open the PowerChute web interface and go to Smart-UPS 1000, Battery Management and you can change the battery installation date there.
