How to Turn Off the Display on Smart-UPS 750 (SMT750)

The Display on my Smart-UPS 750 (SMT750) is currently always on, which in my opinion is not the best for the Display, and I don't need to stare at that little Display all day long, is there a way to turn it off, or let it dim?

Currently on Firmware "05.0 UPS"

And there seems to be no option for turning the display off.

Another thing is, what is the Serial Port on the back? Is it RJ45 or not? Because I have no way of updating the Fireware to the Most Current "07.1 UPS"

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience but that feature is not available for your unit. It is available in new units that support firmware 8.x and above.

This is a Early Build of SMT750, therefore Firmware Update Via USB is not Available.

It has to be Updated Via Serial Port

Hi,

The serial port on the back of the SMT750 is RJ45/RJ50 As pointed out by another forum member the port is actually RJ50 however it is noted as RJ45 since that is the style port users are acustom to. The cable part number is 940-0625.

You will find instruction on upgrading the firmware in Schneider Electric FAQ FA281865 The latest firmware for SMT750 is 7.1

Thanks for the reply. Would Firmware 07.1 give the option to dim the display?

That's good to know.

What is new for Firmware 07.1 comparing to 05.0 ?

I have both a Pro 1000 & a Pro 1300.

Hold the configure button down for a few seconds. The unit beeps and then the display goes off.
