On one of the tech notes I see a part number - 0W4161A - which may or may not be the ones I need. I am using APC AP8841 units and wish to daisy chain them together for network management purposes. I believe we must have inadvertently thrown terminators away - they weren't plugged into the ports like in some of our other models and we discarded a lot of accessory packs. Is this a part that can be ordered or can these be hand made? I notice the ones on our AP8865's seem to be just a RJ connector with plastic inserted where the wires would be. But prev. similar terminators I have seen for other gadgets have had two wires bridged with a resistor so perhaps this is misleading.

Hello,
We (technical support ultimately) will want to know the serial numbers of some of the PDUs you have to begin. AP88XX and AP89XX units manufactured before December, 2012. Then, when the Network Port Sharing feature (daisy chaining to share one IP) was released, we started including terminators. AP86XX always came with terminators since they were offered since they require them for normal standalone function.
Essentially, 0W4161A is one single terminator. This is the original one and is sort of large (1" long or more). What you see in your AP8865 that was manufactured after 2012 is the newer "lower profile" terminator we switched to. It is indeed a terminator though and that is what we'd offer first unless you specifically wanted the larger older ones for some reason.
As noted here, Rack PDU 2G (AP8XXX) Network Port Sharing Information | FAQs | Schneider Electric US, 0W05545A is the part number for a single lower profile terminator. We have a service kit that contains two which is 0J-0W05545A. We'd want to know how many you needed and how you intend to group them to determine the correct quantity to provide and how many kits. 9J-0W4161A would be a kit of two for the older terminators.
Sorry for being long winded. Essentially, how many PDU "groups" are you going to have? Each group needs two terminators and this will help us see how many 0J-0W05545A you need and technical support can send them out for free pending at least one or two AP8841 serial numbers to log the request on.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Charles,
Sounds good.
Yes, you can open an E-Support ticket or call into phone support and then just let them know you'll need (5) 0J-0W05545A and refer to this thread if you need to. Each kit will give you the two terminators needed for each group as I noted.
If you have any troubles, let me know.

Angela,
Thanks for your comprehensive answer, much appreciated. I will gather serial numbers today and I assume I should open a ticket with technical support to provide the information to you? I have five cabinets with four PDU's per cabinet so that would be five kits grouped within each cabinet.
Charles
