How can I adjust the number of battery packs on a Smart-UPS XL?

Hello, May i know if i have a external battery pack...
how to I calculate how many battery pack I have?
Because SUA48RMXLBP3U got 2 battery inside and I also have the 3000 XL
is it total 3 battery pack i have?

Another question, i follow the instruction from below website

and try to configure the APC understand how many external battery pack i have, but I fail to do so...

For the information, I have NMC with me...

Hope someone can assist me on that...

Let me also give you another knowledge base article that you can use to help you out. [Adding External Batteries to an SU, SUM, SURT, or SUA series Smart-UPS|http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/11060/kw/battery%20packs]. The SUA48RMXLBP3U is counted as 1 and for your UPS the internal battery is not counted.

i did connected through the NMC, and I connected it through terminal..
after I connected,
Its asked for username password, i put username = apc and password = apc,
then it is pop up something like that...

Have you tried manually updating the firmware using the FTP procedure? Where you able to access the card after getting that error?
