Hot swap confirmation...
Hello, I am new to this forum. It has been my understanding that most UPS batteries are hot swappable- I just want to confirm that one of my client's is- it's a surgical center, and an unplanned outage would not been seen as a good thing!

Yes, they are. Just beware if you have a power issue/blip/etc while swapping them, the UPS will not have battery back up power. Also, during the swap, the UPS will temporarily beep and flash its replace battery LED since the batteries are disconnected while you do the swap.
