Hi,
When I connect the batteries to the ups and connect the mains lead the unit emits a continuous blipping (not bleeping) sound only, like the capacitors are discharging too quickly and the speaker is picking it up. None of the led's are lit and there's no sound of the relays clicking in which I normally hear.
I removed the top cover to check the various connections to the mainboard to ensure they're seated properly and they all appear to be fine, I've also continuity tested the majority of them so I know that battery and mains power is getting to the board.
The batteries have been tested in an identical unit and are ok so I don't know what else there is to check... The unit has had very little use so overloading isn't the culprit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Jon

Hi, jonarmstrong
Can you just plug the batteries back to the UPS and without any load or in-coming power, try to cold start the UPS ?. Just press the ON/test button and hold it until you hear a long beep sound. Upon hearing this sound, release the button and let the UPS start a self-test. If the UPS passed the self-test, when done, the UPS will stay on battery mode, and you can use it to go back to online by supplying in-coming A/C. However if there is no response or any Leds on when you press the ON/Test button and you have verifly that the batteries are good, then these are some components failure on the UPS baord. In this case, if the unit is still under APC warranty, contact APC for a replacement. If its warranty is out, then you can contact your IT supplier where they can help you to contact an authorised APC board supplier for you.
Regards..

Hi, kooldog007
Unfortunately it looks like component failure.
Thanks for the advice.
